ST7 - 8-bit Microcontrollers - ST7236x

STMicroelectronics has been responding to the appliance and industrial challenges for many years.. All devices in this family are based on a common industry-standard 8-bit core, featuring an enhanced instruction set and are available with FLASH or ROM program memory. This family of products is targeting appliances electronics, as well as industrial automation, with a focus on those having requirements for two UARTS as well as low power consumption and a wide range of packages variety.
It is the smallest available microcontroller with 2 UART and LINTM peripherals.
They offers a wide range of benefits including,
Robustness: 40Years Data retention at 85dgC for the High density Flash.
Networking: Thanks to 2 Independent LINSCITM
Rich power consumption management with auto wake-up from Halt
In Factory flash programming for low volume..

Qualified with the highest standard for Automotive and industrial applications Robust design makes ST7236x family suitable for EMC-critical environments that are the Appliance, Industrial or Automotive applications, as well as Portable and battery powered devices benefiting from the Auto-Wake-up feature to increase the battery lifetime.
Better program flow control, with the Window watchdog to set starts and stop. Pin for Pin compatible family to ease re-use and platform definition.
