IAR development tools for ST ARM™ core-based microcontrollers


ST distributes affordable professional tool bundles from IAR for developers designing applications for STM32, STR9 and STR7 ARM™ core-based microcontrollers.

IAR's Embedded Workbench™ for ARM (EWARM) is an easy-to-use, powerful integrated development environment for developing applications for STM32, STR9 and STR7. Based on solid technology, it seamlessly integrates a complete range of software tools in a comprehensive toolkit, recognized for its efficient code generation and unique debugging properties. EWARM is available in an unlimited version and in a 216K code-size limited "baseline" version. All versions of EWARM include:

C-SPY: IAR's state-of -the-art debugging interface featuring a full range of standard debugging features and support for a wide range of in-circuit debugging/programming and trace tools such as those from ARM, Ashling, Macraigor, Signum and more...

IAR C/C++ Cross Compiler: Fully optimizing C/C++ compiler for ARM™ core-based microcontrollers.

Note: EWARM is a software package and does not include debugging hardware. The JLink, IAR's in-circuit debugger/programmer is available with the IAR KickStart Starter Kits.

IAR's STR91xF Advanced Developer's Kit is a complete solution for developing applications for STR91xF ARM™ core-based microcontrollers. In addition to an unlimited C compiler, the kit includes the IAR J-Trace that allows users to take advantage of the STR9's Embedded Trace Macrocell™ for trace capability during application debugging. The kit includes:

J-Trace: In-circuit debugger/programmer, featuring configurable trace capability with time stamp, filtering and triggers. Features USB host interface and industry standard JTAG interface to the application board.

EWARM-BL512: The 512K code-size limited version of IAR's easy-to-use, powerful integrated development environment.

STR912F Evaluation Board: Application board designed for rapid, easy evaluation of STR91xF peripherals including Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and ADC.

and many additional features including built in Flash loader and numerous useful sample projects covering the full range device peripherals that are based on the proven STR9 software library.

Note: The STR91xF Advanced Developer's Kit also allows development and debugging of applications for STR7 microcontrollers.

STR-EW-BL/IAR: EWARM baseline version (256K code-size limited) with node-locked license, includes C-SPY and IAR C/C++ compiler

STR-EW-BL/D/IAR: EWARM baseline version (256K code-size limited) with license dongle, includes C-SPY and IAR C/C++ compiler

STR91X-DK/IAR: STR91xF Advanced Developer's Kit with J-Trace, EWARM-BL512 (512K code-size limited version) with node-locked license, IAR C/C++ compiler and evaluation board for STR912FW4.
