ST7 Flash STICK in-circuit debugger/programmer

The ST7 In-Circuit Communication Kit for Flash microcontrollers (ST7 Flash STICK) is an easy-to-use tool that you can build yourself and that allows in-circuit debugging and programming a complete range of ST7 Flash microcontrollers on an application board via an ST standard 10-pin In-Circuit Communication (ICC) connection. For in-circuit programming the ST7 Flash STICK can be use with ST Visual Programmer (STVP), the programming interface from ST. For in-circuit debugging, it is driven from ST Visual Develop (STVD 3.4.0 or later versions) – the popular, free integrated development environment from ST.

The ST7 Flash STICK takes advantage of the ICC protocol developed by STMicroelectronics, which allows development tools to communicate with on-chip resources of the ST7 through a limited number of signals.

In addition, developers can use the ST7 Flash STICK in combination with the ST7 Socket Boards (ST7SBxxx) for single-site, on-socket programming of ST7 Flash microcontrollers.

ST7 Flash STICK is no longer sold by ST. However, it is still supported by the ST MCU Toolset (STVD, STVP) for in-circuit debugging and programming of ST7. We will continue to provide the tool schematics and user documentation to support users who want to build their own tool.
